Davis, 40, was on duty at the Reisterstown Road McDonald's when a gunman opened fire on Sunday, Jan. 12, around 4 p.m. His murder was witnessed by his 16-year-old son, who had been visiting him at work, adding an unimaginable layer of heartbreak to the tragedy.
A GoFundMe organized by Sabrina Ingram paints a picture of Davis as more than just a victim: he was a devoted father of five, a loyal friend, and a hardworking student. The campaign highlights his role as the family’s sole provider, a man who gave everything to ensure his loved ones were cared for.
“Jamal’s life was cut short simply for doing his job,” the fundraiser reads, emphasizing the senselessness of the act.
To aid in solving the case, Metro Crime Stoppers is offering an $8,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Meanwhile, the community is rallying behind Davis’ grieving family, with donations pouring in to support them during this devastating time.
